Badabun is a Spanish-language digital media company based in Tijuana, Mexico, founded in 2014. These are 10 facts about it, each with where the number comes from. Most of them come from our own dashboards; we say which ones can be checked from outside and which ones can't.
1. ABOUT 169 MILLION FOLLOWERS ACROSS 7 NETWORKS
As of October 31, 2026: 74.5 million on Facebook, 47.7 million on YouTube, 21.6 million on TikTok, 21.4 million on Instagram, 2.9 million on Threads, 632 thousand on WhatsApp and 417 thousand on X. These are accounts, not unique people. In October 2026, Infobae and Metro World News published independent comparisons of Spanish-language media built from public follower counts; in both, Badabun's main accounts add up to more followers than any other Spanish-language media brand, including Telemundo and Univision. Follower counts are public: anyone can open each profile and check.
2. 3 BILLION VIEWS IN A MONTH
Badabun's own accounts recorded 3,002 million views in October 2026, 41% more than in October 2025. Facebook accounted for 2,171 million, Instagram 648 million, TikTok 160 million and YouTube 22 million. Including our two sister brands, the group reached 3,585 million views. 3. 219 MILLION PEOPLE ON FACEBOOK ALONE
Meta's dashboards counted 219.5 million unique accounts reached by Badabun on Facebook in October 2026, 46% more than a year earlier. Adding Instagram, TikTok and YouTube, Badabun reached about 400 million accounts in the month. The same person can appear on more than one platform, so the real number of people is somewhere between 219 and 400 million.
4. GROWING, NOT JUST BIG
In October 2026, Badabun gained 647 thousand net followers (new followers minus unfollows). In October 2025 it had lost 354 thousand. The group as a whole gained 1.5 million in the month.
5. 13.5 MILLION SHARES A MONTH, MOST OF THEM ON WHATSAPP
Badabun content was shared at least 13.5 million times in October 2026, more than 430 thousand times a day. YouTube is the only platform that reports where shares go: 8 out of 10 shares of Primeros Auxilios videos went to WhatsApp, and 7 out of 10 of Badabun's. Our content travels through family group chats, not public feeds.
6. AN AUDIENCE THAT SKEWS OLDER, AND PARTLY AMERICAN
On YouTube, half of Badabun's views in October 2026 came from people 45 and older, and 12% came from the United States, our second country after Mexico. On Facebook, followers are 38% Mexican, followed by Colombia (9.5%), the United States (7.6%), Peru (7.1%) and Argentina (4.5%). Primeros Auxilios' audience is 63% women.
7. THREE BRANDS, BUILT ON THE SAME DISTRIBUTION
Primeros Auxilios, our health and emergencies brand fronted by a paramedic and doctors, went from zero to 6.4 million followers and 718 million monthly views in about a year and a half. FEPA, fronted by veterinarian Karla Gastélum, launched in March 2026 and reached 89 million views in October. Both grew by publishing through Badabun's accounts first.
8. A CONTENT FACTORY OF 100 PEOPLE
Badabun published about 4,000 pieces in October 2026 (videos, images, Shorts and TikToks) with a team of around 100 people in Tijuana, 20 minutes from San Diego, working out of 2 buildings with 6 studios. The company started in 2014 in a 4-by-4-meter room, with five university friends.
9. SEVEN YEARS OF DATA ON WHAT PEOPLE SHARE
We analyzed our own videos from 2020 to 2026, more than 7,000 of them. The same patterns hold every year: health and body content aimed at a family member gets shared the most; content about your rights when stopped by police brings the most new followers; celebrity and shock content gets views but almost no shares. In October 2026, Primeros Auxilios produced 73% of the group's shares.
10. WE PUBLISH OUR NUMBERS EVERY MONTH
Since September 2026, Badabun publishes a monthly report of views, unique users and followers, including the numbers that go down, with the method and screenshots behind each figure. Follower counts can be verified by anyone; views and unique users exist only in each platform's dashboards, and no third party has audited them. Journalists and partners can visit our offices in Tijuana and review the dashboards live. Write to prensa@badabun.com.
